    The Tree Of Life wins Palme d'Or

    The Tree Of Life, an American film won Palme d’Or at Cannes 2011. Terrence Malick, director of the film was not at festival to receive the award.

    William Pohlad, producer of The Tree Of Life who accepted the award said: “He remains infamously and notoriously shy and humble, but he is very happy to get this.”

    The Tree Of Life, directed by Terrence Malick  receives Palme d’Or  just on time as it opens on Friday in US theaters.
