Motherland (Zad o Boom), an Abolhassan Davoudi film in theaters in Iran

After nine years that Abolhassan Davoudi’s fans have been waiting to see his award-winning film, The Motherland, finally it starts its public screening in Iran today.

Motherland deals with the search for identity and has won two awards at Fajr Film Festival for Audience Award for Best Film and Best Screenplay (by Farid Mostafavi). Motherland has also been nominated for the Best Actor (Massud Raygan), Best Supporting Actress (Pegah Ahangarani) and Best Film (Abolhassan Davoudi).

Abolhassan Davoudi has also been co-writer of the Motherland. Other crew members are Nezam Kiaie and Abbass Rastegarpour , sound engineers, Bahram Dehghan, Editor and the late Zhila Mehrjooee, Set and Custom Designer.
