Hell on The Border, Written and directed by Wes Miller, stars David Gyasi (“Interstellar,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” “Cloud Atlas,” “The Dark Knight Rises”) and co-stars Frank Grillo (“The Grey,” “Black and Blue,” “Captain America”), Ron Perlman (“Hand of God,” “Hellboy,” “Sons of Anarchy,” “Beauty and the Beast”), Jaqueline Fleming (“The Quad,” “The Walking Dead,” “NCIS: New Orleans”) and Vernon Davis (“Baywatch,” “Inside Amy Schumer,” “The League”).

We had the opportunity of interviewing Wes Miller for a podcast about making of Hell on the Border:

Hell on the Border is a western thriller set in 1875 and based on the true story of the legendary Bass Reeves (David Gyasi), the first black deputy U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi River. Having escaped from slavery after the Civil War, Bass Reeves arrives in Arkansas seeking a job with the law. To prove himself, he must hunt down a deadly outlaw (Frank Grillo) with the help of a grizzled journeyman.
