Luz Aguado was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and grew up in East Los Angeles. She is the oldest of four siblings. Prior to attending The Art Institute, Luz was a student at the University of California Riverside where she studied biology and aspired to become a medical doctor. Now she studies Media Arts and Animation at The Art Institute of Los Angeles and hopes of one day having the opportunity to work for Disney Animation Studios. Three dimensional animation and the innovative techniques that have given animation a more realistic appearance is something that she wishes to focus on while at The Art Institute.

Director George Lucas recently announced that filming for the highly-anticipated “Indiana Jones” movie will begin next year and he promised it will be “the best one yet.” Lucas said he and director Steven Spielberg recently finalized the script. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that the Bangkok International Film Festival 2007, which was supposed to take place January 26-February 5, 2007, has been postponed to July 2007. This festival has been postponed because a probable cinema venue decided to end talks with the TAT because of financial reasons. The Venice Film Festival’s long and highly publicized wait for an updated venue will be over in 2010, Italy’s Ministry of Culture announced Wednesday. Festival organizers have been reiterating the idea that the event could become less important over time because of it’s aging main venue – the Palazzo del Cinema – and pushed for its renovation. “Without better facilities, the Venice Film Festival will begin to fade away,” artistic director Marco Muller said during September’s 63rd edition of the festival. The critics of the Windy City have spoken and Martin Scorsese’s “The Departed” has earned the awards of best picture, best director and best adapted screenplay from the Chicago Film Critics Association Thursday.
