"Nader and Simin, A Separation" Wins The Golden Bear at Berlinale 2011


For the last time this year, the stars and prominent guests of the festival were lit up by the paparazzi flashes on the Red Carpet in front of the Berlinale Palast. Together with millions of TV viewers, everyone anxiously awaited the decision of the International Jury. After the presentation of the Bears for the Best Short Film, the awarding of the Silver Bears and the Alfred-Bauer-Award, the final moment came. Isabella Rossellini, as the president of the International Jury, announced the decision she and her fellow jurors had arrived at: The winner of the 2011 Golden Bear is Jodaeiye Nader az Simin | Nader And Simin, A Separation by Asghar Farhadi.
