    New York International Children Film Festival

    The 2008 NEW YORK INT’L CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL is going on now from FEB 29 – MAR 16, and for these three fun-filled, kids geared weekends, be sure to catch this festival, which delivers to you, young filmmakers’ visions from 25 countries in several premieres. Opening Night featured the US Premiere of “Razzle Dazzle: A Journey Into Dance- a Mockumentary from Australia. The filmmakers range from ages 3 to 18 and Films will be showcased at the IFC Center and Cantor Film Center, The DGA (Directors Guild of America) Theatre in NYC.

    What is unique to this festival, is its year round screenings and an online festival where films are screened and children can select which work they liked the best. In addition, a special workshop lead by industry pros highlight film production techniques, the cell animation process, and claymation for example. In conjunction with the Children’s Museum of the Arts, this workshop is the first for the NYICFF and destined to be a success for all aspiring filmmakers.

    Since 1997, the NYICFF has been featuring innovative and creative works from some of the brightest and most talented young visionaries from around the world. Upon the conclusion of the event will be an awards ceremony for Best of the Fest short film competition on March 16th.
